About Our Company
Jim Velez, Sr. learned plumbing in Los Angeles from his father when he was a kid and decided to stick to it as it was a solid career. Jim then spent many years working for a well known plumbing company in the Los Angeles area.Forward years later, Jim decided to pack up his family and move to Flagstaff. He spent a year working for a plumbing company as a manger. He then decided to take on a career with Northern Arizona University as the Plumbing and Maintenance Supervisor. After working for NAU for several years, he decided to start his own business.
In 1994 Jim started Mountain High Plumbing along with the help of his wife, Alana Velez and son, Jimmy Velez. Jimmy went to school at Northern Arizona University and worked on the wholesale side part time in which he decided was a great career. Jimmy then moved to the Phoenix area to pursue his career in Management and a Sales Representative for a fortune 500 company. Jimmy was named Salesman of the Year for the company in 2007.
Starting in November of 2007, Jim decided to partner back up with his son Jimmy Velez to help manage and promote the business. Jimmy has 15 years experience in Plumbing Wholesale along with Business Management and with that brings product knowledge and customer service to the table.
Today, Mountain High Plumbing is 15 trucks strong and growing and has become the most successful Plumbing Company in all of Northern Arizona. All of our equipment is "state of the art" from leak detection to pressing methods of copper pipe. Our trucks are fully stocked and are ready to roll out when you are ready.
